Leadership Approach
In The Practice of Management, Peter Drucker writes, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.” This principle reflects my approach to institutional work. My career has been defined by helping ambitious institutions build the operational capacity to create the futures they envision.
In both my personal and professional life, I am motivated by enabling impact at scale by building the operational backbone that allows high potential people and organizations to do their best work. I am especially energized by the behind the scenes work that turns good intentions into durable outcomes and data-driven strategies into tangible products.
I grew up in Queens, New York with the dream of going to college and moving the needle forward on addressing some of the most critical issues of our time. This search that led me to immerse myself in the scholarship and admissions process, spending nine months writing 150+ essays to colleges and foundations. That effort resulted in over half a million dollars in funding offers and an opportunity to attend Cornell University. During that time, I was also introduced to the SEO Scholars Program and the world of finance and a summer internship at J.P Morgan Chase, which gave me an early appreciation for capital, risk, and large scale systems.
After graduating, I built a career at the intersection of operations, philanthropy, and talent development. I supported and consulted on programs sponsored by organizations including JPMorgan Chase, TED, Aspen Institute and Coca Cola, and in 2020 joined the Bezos Family Foundation as a Program Associate. There, I helped facilitate the deployment of more than $56,000,000 dollars toward initiatives spanning humanitarian relief to leadership development and technology. For over a decade, I have helped multiple fellowship programs design strong selection processes, build supportive communities, and expand long term alumni networks and helped with the deployment of ~$100,000,000.
I most recently served as Operations Manager at the School for Moral Ambition at Harvard, where I led operations for it's inaugural pilot fellowship program aimed at accelerating the careers of students committed to moral leadership and tackling the world’s most important challenges.
Public Talks
Over the last 13 years I have been blessed to be invited to speak on stages at companies such as J.P.Morgan Chase, NBC Education Nation, Mentoring in Medicine, and Elite Link Education and on panels with people such as Gayle King and the late General Colin Powell. My talks draws from my experience growing up in New York, getting into and graduating from Cornell University, and my work with a focus towards helping audiences understand how to maximize their personal levels of impact, achieve their goals and drive success in their places of business.
My stories draw from my time working on Wall Street at J.P.Morgan, TED, the Harvard School of Public Health and in the philanthropic sector at American and European foundations. I have been grateful to have been able to support half a dozen scholar and fellowship programs in various capacities so that they can create supportive communities for their grantees and grow the impact of their networks over the last 13 years. I am thankful for the opportunity to have been named a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, Aspen Institute Ascend Fellow, Roots Young Futurist, JPMorgan Chase TFI Fellow, Gates Millennium Scholar, Coca-Cola Scholar, Bezos Scholar and SEO Scholar.
In my talks I leverage my experiences to deliver insightful, memorable and comprehensive strategies and solutions to the audience I engage with.
